Abstract

The study of climate can be analyzed from the initial structuring of geographic science performed by Humboldt and Ritter. Furthermore, it can be said that with the development of some studies, Climatology obtained certain transformations that allowed some changes within Geography. From this, it is observed that Climatology, as well as other fields of Geography was apparently developed prior to the installation of Geography as a science, however, the presentation of its context can be analyzed through the fundamentals of Humboldt, which in particular was the pioneer within the industry, mainly for organizing the climatological field in an integrated manner, analyzing the understanding of phenomena within the space of geographic analysis. In this sense, the present research has the objective of presenting the evolution of climatological studies, raising information about analyzes carried out both in the initial periods with traditional peoples, and the fundamental foundations that proceeded with the creation of a Brazilian school of Geographical Climatology. Furthermore, it is observed that the understanding of the climate study is able to show the importance of analyzing the evolution of climate conceptions, because regardless of the historical context in which it is inserted, the vast interest of society in understanding natural atmospheric events is observed, and in addition , tries to organize them through laws or treaties that facilitate human understanding of atmospheric studies.
