About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Brazilian Journal of Tourism Observatories (ReBOT) is affiliated with and published by the Department of Tourism of the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN), in partnership with the Brazilian Network of Tourism Observatories (RBOT). The journal is published electronically and has national and international circulation.
ReBOT is dedicated to publishing original and interdisciplinary scientific articles, translated articles, interviews, technical and technological papers, and book reviews addressing topics related to Tourism, Hospitality, Economics, Management, Geography, Urban Planning, and Heritage Studies.

Publication Frequency
The Brazilian Journal of Tourism Observatories (ReBOT) operates under a continuous publication model, with a single annual volume.
Target Audience
The journal's target audience includes tourism professionals, researchers, academics, and individuals interested in tourism and related fields. Authors must hold a doctoral or master's degree, or be enrolled in a stricto sensu graduate program (master's or doctoral level) or a lato sensu postgraduate program. Submissions from postgraduate students should include undergraduate students as co-authors when applicable.
The journal is published free of charge, and all participation is voluntary and non-profit. Manuscripts are accepted in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Peer Review Process
Manuscripts submitted to the Brazilian Journal of Tourism Observatories (ReBOT) undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their compliance with the journal's scope and submission guidelines.
Submissions that pass this stage are forwarded for double-blind peer review, ensuring anonymity between authors and reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the submitted work.
Double-Blind Review Guidelines
To ensure the integrity of the peer review process, authors must submit manuscripts without any identifying information, including author names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgments, or references that could reveal their identity.
Reference Standards
Manuscripts submitted to the Brazilian Journal of Tourism Observatories (ReBOT) must follow the bibliographic reference standards established by ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards), specifically ABNT NBR 6023, as detailed in the Author Guidelines available under the Submissions section.
