Afroturismo como resgate da memória e identidade em territórios quilombolas no estado do Maranhão

O afroturismo, sendo um dos principais vetores de resgate da memória e da cultura e por
ser um segmento que se direciona para o compromisso ético, de respeito, afeto e engajamento
da comunidade, permite desfrutar de um intercâmbio positivo de experiências entre turistas e
autóctones, proporcionando o “encontro” entre identidades, compartilhamento e aprendizagem
mútuos, em que o visitante tem uma atitude participativa durante sua viagem, beneficiando o
desenvolvimento local, mas, respeitando os hábitos e as manifestações culturais.
