Hotel supply is one of the main components of tourism infrastructure, influencing destination competitiveness and
visitors’ experiences. Given the need to understand the structure of hotel supply in inland tourist regions, this study
sought to answer how this structure is characterized in the municipalities of the Curimataú Paraibano Tourist Region
and what its main strengths and weaknesses are for the development of regional tourism. The objective was to
comparatively analyze the structure of hotel supply in the municipalities of the region, identifying strengths and
weaknesses for regional development. The research is applied, descriptive, with a qualitative and quantitative
(mixed methods) approach, and documentary, using data from the Tourism Activity Reports of the Brazilian
Tourism Map. Indicators related to accommodation establishments, bed capacity, CADASTUR registration, types
of accommodation, seasonality, and employment were analyzed. The results reveal inequalities among the
municipalities and point to the need for integrated actions in planning, professional qualification, and strengthening
formalization in order to enhance the competitiveness of the regional hotel sector.
