This study presents the findings of the Araguaia Expedition 2025, conducted by the Goiás Tourism Observatory to analyze tourists' profile, satisfaction levels, and the socio-environmental impacts associated with the Araguaia Season, one of the state's main tourism events. The survey was carried out in July 2025 along approximately 400 km of the Araguaia River, covering the municipalities of Aruanã, Bandeirantes (Nova Crixás), and Luiz Alves (São Miguel do Araguaia). A total of 400 questionnaires were administered, indirectly representing 8,802 visitors. The results reveal that the tourist flow is predominantly composed of residents from Goiás traveling with family and friends, characterized by frequent visits, extended stays at campsites, and strong emotional ties to the destination. High levels of visitor satisfaction were observed, with a strong intention to revisit and positive evaluations of the tourism experience. However, the study also identified challenges related to infrastructure, sanitation, internet access, tourism services, and destination management, highlighting the need to strengthen environmental conservation initiatives. The findings demonstrate the significant economic, social, and territorial importance of the Araguaia Season for Goiás and reinforce the need for integrated public policies capable of promoting sustainable tourism while enhancing visitor experience and preserving the region's natural resources.
