How Instagram influences purchasing decisions in tourism
Keywords:
Tourism, Instagram, Contemporary Tourist, Social MediaAbstract
Contemporary tourists publish photos and videos of the places they visit, creating a network of information that
circulates in real time, expanding their profiles into channels for disseminating a company's services. This research
aims to analyze how Instagram impacts the purchase decision for tourist destinations and services. The
methodology adopted was qualitative and descriptive, with a bibliographic survey based on books and academic
publications. The analysis was divided into three moments: opportune (desire for the trip), embarking (realization
of the trip), and landing (dissemination of the experience). The results demonstrate that Instagram plays a
fundamental role in shaping the tourist imaginary, promoting destinations, and in the purchase decision.
“Instagrammable”; experiences and online feedback become crucial tools for attracting customers.
