The present work aims to present a perspective of analysis of the Translation and Corpus Stylistics on the work of the British author Jane Austen, in her novel Pride and Prejudice, about marriage and how this theme is described and approached in the work, and in its translations in Portuguese language. Initially, we sought to base ourselves on the postulates of different areas: Translation (Chesterman, 1997), Corpus Linguistics (Berber Sardinha 2000), Literary Theory (Copeland and McMaster, 1997; Todd, 2006), and Stylistics (Fischer -Starcke, 2010). The methodological aspects are centered on the exploration of bilingual corpora, in which the terms Marriage and Married are analyzed regarding their semantic prosody and the varied meanings provoked by the author's style in the use of these words, and how these terms are used in the studied translations. Upon reaching the conclusion of our research, it was possible to observe the perceptions of marriage present in the work through the author's vision, as well as the presentation of this vision in the writing style.
