THE IRONIC ECHO IN O MÁGICO DE OZ

Abstract

This paper has goal to bring some theorys about irony, consequentily, identifying them in the work O Mágico de Oz (2011). The search will approach irony in the literature and pragmatic. The theoricians used in this paper is: Muecke (1997), Zúñiga (2010), Reyes (1994), Ortega (2005). This work was a descriptive research, realized by bibliography readness. In short, was seen irony in the actions of protagonists characters selected like corpus of analysis, respectively: Espantalho, Homem de Lata, Leão Covarde. They looked for something that they had already: the Espantalho wishing a braind; Homem de Lata, a heart; Leão Covarde, courage.
