Abstract

This article aimed to study the short story "A Captura do Cérbero" (2010) by the British writer Agatha Christie, under the perspective of the literary subgenre coming from the fantastique named strange proposed by Todorov (1981). During the research it was produced an explanation about the fantastique literature, through its main conceptions and facets. Then, it was analyzed in the narrative the main elements which can categorize the Christie"™s short stories as from the subgenre known as strange. The research was bibliographic and analytical. The theoric support was composed mainly by Todorov (1981). Lastly, there was success in analyzing the excerpts of the short story in order to consider it as evanescent narrative.
