Abstract

The objective of this research is the elaboration of a didactic material directed to the final years of Elementary School, especially the eighth and ninth years, in order to facilitate the teaching of themes related to Political Geography. Throughout this article, we will dialogue with arguments that confirm the need to explore different teaching languages ​​in Geography classes in order to enhance the teaching-learning process, while information and communication technologies (ICTs) emerge as auxiliaries in the establishment of strategies didactic. Mafalda's strips, as a teaching language, fit into the perspective of consolidating meaningful learning, as they address relevant themes for contemporary times and promote the development of skills and abilities based on the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), with a view to developing of geographic reasoning. To this end, we idealized proposals for activities, based on Mafalda's strips, supported by a cut of subjects that comprise the field of Political Geography. The construction of the didactic material was designed in an attempt to improve certain elementary sufficiency for the education of students, such as the sense of research, autonomy, criticality and creativity.
