This objective is to identify the understanding of the research teachers, that is, the teachers of geography teaching in the final years of elementary school, based on and focusing on the following hydrographic schools of the Trussu River, in the Center-South of Ceará, about the approach components here presented and presented to you natural physicists with an emphasis on thematic watershed. Therefore, and thus, the eight 9th grade Geography teachers from four schools located in the districts along Trussu, in the Center-South region of Ceará, were found. In this interview, it was emphasized to understand the difficulties in the approach, the methodologies and the practices used in the discipline of Geography. In the end, the selected basins, it was possible to identify the teachers within their educational practices, they approach the basins, and as themes, to focus on their practices in textbooks, disregarding the fact that the region is abundant in water resources and in addition landscape and and, finally, the issue of schools are located near the river.
